PRG Multi Spindle Drill Heads are custom-engineered attachments that convert any standard pillar drilling machine into a multi-hole drilling unit. Instead of drilling one hole at a time, the operator drills all holes in a single downward stroke - dramatically reducing cycle time on repetitive jobs. Each head is built to the customer's exact hole pattern (PCD), spindle count, and machine spindle taper. The aluminium body keeps weight low while maintaining rigidity. Spindles are fitted with ER collet chucks for secure, accurate tool holding. Recommended drilling capacity per spindle is up to 13mm for standard applications and up to 20mm for heavier setups. Compatible with PRG pillar drilling machines and any other make or brand of pillar drill. An optional extension spindle is available for applications requiring additional reach. Every head is a made-to-order product - hole positions, spindle count, MT shank size, and inter-spindle distance are all specified by the customer at the time of order. A multi spindle drill head is an attachment that mounts onto the spindle of a standard pillar drilling machine. It replaces the single drill chuck and drives multiple spindles simultaneously from one main spindle. PRG multi spindle drill heads can be built with 2 or more spindles depending on the application. The practical limit depends on the drilling diameter, the centre distance between holes, and the capacity of the base machine. Heads with up to 5 or more spindles have been successfully supplied.
Yes. Every PRG multi spindle drill head is made to order. The hole pattern (PCD), number of spindles, and inter-spindle distances are all built exactly to the customer's component drawing or sample.
Up to 13mm per spindle is recommended for standard applications. Up to 20mm per spindle is possible for heavier setups. Beyond this, the combined load on the machine spindle and the drill head body increases significantly and is evaluated case by case.
Yes. PRG multi spindle drill heads are made with the MT shank size matching your existing machine spindle - MT2, MT3, MT4, or MT5. They are compatible with PRG pillar drilling machines as well as any other make or brand of pillar drill.
The extension spindle is an optional add-on that provides additional reach or offset for one of the spindles when the standard head geometry does not reach a required hole position. It is specified and built at the time of order.
