The range covers 7 models - from the compact PPD12R (12.5mm capacity) to the heavy-duty PPD40HR (40mm capacity with single pillar design). All models are built on heavy-duty graded CI casting with ribbed base construction for vibration-free operation. The R series features square drill heads, back gear transmission, fine feed mechanism, and SGI gear drives for high torque delivery. Motors are ISI, IE2 and CE certified. FAQs

The PRG Pillar Drilling Machine range covers 7 models with drilling capacity in MS from 12.5mm (PPD12R) up to 40mm (PPD40R, PPD40HR, PPD40MR). Models above 40mm or with auto feed and special features are available on request.

Both are 12.5mm capacity entry-level models. PPD12RS uses a socket-type spindle while PPD12RC uses a chuck-type spindle. The choice depends on the tooling system preferred in your workshop.

Back gear is an additional gear reduction system that gives the spindle higher torque at lower RPM. It is essential for heavy-duty drilling, reaming and boring in tough materials. All R series models from PPD20R onwards include back gear.

PRG machines use ISI, IE2 and CE certified electric motors matched to each model's capacity - ranging from 0.5 HP on the PPD12R to 2 HP on the 40mm models. Motors can be supplied with the machine or the machine can be adapted to a customer's existing motor.

Yes. PRG brand comes with a lifetime spare parts supply guarantee. All critical components including spindles, gears, bearings and electrical parts are stocked and available Pan-India.

All three have 40mm drilling capacity. PPD40MR has a round drill head and is optimised for milling operations with 250mm spindle travel. PPD40R and PPD40HR both have square heads and single pillar design - PPD40HR is the heavy-duty variant with a larger 121mm pillar diameter, bigger table (411 x 411mm) and 250mm spindle travel, making it suited for the most demanding production floor applications.

Single pillar refers to the column configuration where the drill head and table are supported on one central pillar without a second support bracket. This gives greater all-round table access and is found on the PPD40R and PPD40HR models.

Every PRG Pillar Drilling Machine is supplied with motor pulley and handles as standard. Documentation including instruction manual and maintenance manual is also provided.

Yes, with the optional Tapping Panel Board accessory which provides forward-reverse switching for safe tapping cycles. For dedicated tapping requirements, PRG also offers a separate Drilling cum Tapping Machine range.
