BRADMA Hand Held Punches

BRADMA Hand Held Punches are individual hardened steel punches - one punch per character - struck by a hammer to create a permanent impression on a component surface. No holder or machine needed. Ideal for workshops, tool rooms, foundries and maintenance departments.

Standard punches have a solid face and create a clean filled impression. Dotted (Low Stress) punches have a dotted face that reduces stress concentration on the marked surface - ideal for hardened or stress-sensitive components. Reverse punches carry a mirror-image character used for forging dies, die casting dies and rubber moulds where the mark must read correctly on the finished part.

Hand held punches are self-contained - one punch per character, struck directly by hammer with no holder needed. Interchangeable steel types are smaller characters assembled in a holder and stamped as a group in one stroke. Punches are simpler for occasional or varied marking. Types are better for high-volume repeated marking of longer character strings.

Butt-Welded stamps are specially constructed for marking on red-hot metal surfaces up to 1000 degrees Celsius - used in railway axle marking, steel billet identification and hot forging applications where the component must be marked immediately after forming.
