Both the marking wheels and the advancing cams are manufactured from D3 tool steel - a high carbon, high chromium cold work tool steel. This is significant because the cams machined into solid wheels are as durable as the stamping characters themselves - meaning the automatic indexing mechanism lasts as long as the marking surface, not shorter. Standard numerators often see cam wear before character wear.

Standard catalogue items are available in 1.6mm, 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm and 6mm across different wheel configurations. Custom character sizes outside this range are available on request as the direct manufacturer.

Yes. Alpha-numeric wheel combinations are available on request. Composite configurations with provision to mark a logo or fixed text alongside the automatic serial number are also available.
