BRADMA IST Loose Types

These are individual interchangeable steel marking characters - letters, numbers, symbols and spacers - that you buy in exactly the quantity and characters you need. They are assembled in a holder and stamped onto a surface to create a permanent mark.

Buy loose types when you know exactly which characters you need and want to avoid paying for a full set. Ideal for replacement of worn types, adding specific characters, or building a custom marking sequence.

Standard types create a normal readable impression. Reverse types create a mirror image - used for forging dies, die casting dies and rubber moulds where the mark needs to read correctly on the finished part. Low Stress types have a dotted face that reduces stress concentration on the marked surface - ideal for hardened or stress-sensitive components.

Spacers are blank types of the same body size as the marking types. They are placed between characters in a holder to create gaps or word spacing in the marked impression.

They mark on steels, castings, forgings, aluminium, brass, plastics and paper - covering virtually all industrial marking surfaces.

Each type size has a compatible hand holder and machine holder. For example - 3mm types use the 8H25 hand holder. Always match the holder slot width to your type body size for accurate alignment and positive locking.
